PSCP the putty secure copy
Posted on Sunday, September 02 @ 11:00:00 IDT by admin

Lots of usefull applications Anonymous writes "Are a linux useradmin looking to transfer files from you linux boxserver to your windows system and cant find a way to do it easily without installing an ftp server? Well putty has an answer.

putty My personal favourite SSH client has away of simulating the linux scp command, lots of users using putty are not aware of it so I thought I would write a small article about it.

you must either install the putty installer or down load the pscp command specifically in order to use pscp, after that you run the following to copy from the linux machine to the windows one:
pscp [options] [user@]host:source target
or copy from the windows one to the Linux OS:
pscp [options] source [source...] [user@]host:target

Happy compying.
