Thunderbird is already running...

On Windows OS a lot of applications when removed, do not delete all the information they installed on the user's drive but only the program itself and its shortcuts, the data is kept there probably thinking that if you will reinstall the program you will not have to restore all the data you have. Thunderbird simply does not remove its profile and unless you got something you want there you can simply remove the whole directory and Thunderbird will create it again upon execution.
Simply go to %APPDATA% (start->run) then look for the directory Thunderbird, and delete the whole directory....as simply as that, now restart thunderbird....and.....there you go... ;)
